This role will allow you to expand your design abilities, take on further responsibility in the interior design process, assist in mentoring junior staff, developing relationships with clients and industry colleagues – all in a flexible work environment with a collaborative team.
A LITTLE ABOUT YOU:
Our ideal candidate is enthusiastic and passionate about design, project coordination, and building relationships. You are trustworthy, considerate, appreciate a good sense of humour, and are excited to be a part of an energetic team.You also have the following attributes:
A minimum of 5 years of commercial interior design experience
A degree in Interior Design from a certified university/college. CIDQ certification would be considered an asset
Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
Strong conceptual design ability, technical skills and understanding of the interior design process from concept through completion
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of building code requirements and ability to navigate building permit applications and contract administration with minor assistance from senior team
Team-oriented mindset, supporting colleagues and collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients
Responsible and motivated, capable of leading smaller projects, seeking support when needed, and engaging the team to collaborate
An understanding of the business and contractual obligations of what we do, ability to see and understand the big picture
Curiosity and a constant pursuit of new methods, details, and design solutions
Passionate and invested in the growth of our team and studio as well as your own career development
